Who I Am
I have many passions, but at my core I have always been a writer. I had planned a life as a scientist, I went to school for astrophysics with big dreams of working for NASA. After two semesters of college, one of my professors told me to stop turning in essays in lieu of equations, and I knew it was time to change trajectories.
I graduated with a degree in English, and have been nurturing that literary flame ever since.
Professionally, I have been working as a social worker in my community. Personally, I have been continuing to complete manuscripts and copyedit for friends and colleagues on the side.
Once more, it is time for me to change trajectories. My power lies in my use of language, as it always has.
My previous experience as Editor in Chief of three literary journals, coupled with my years of creative and copywriting, have led me back to the keyboard to continue writing my way forward.
As it has been said,
“A word after a word after a word is power.”
-Margaret Atwood
